6. It teaches you self-control
The practice of Choi Kwang Do, and some other practices like it, are centered around humility and self-control. It teaches humility towards others, and self-control for yourself. This is beneficial in life. If you don’t maintain self-control, then how can others respond with respect to you? When you are practicing your martial art moves you will be practicing with a partner. There needs to be mutual self-control between the two of you to not hurt each other, but still practice well so that you can develop dealing with physical and mental conflict.
Our adult and children's martial arts/self defence classes in Teddington will develop your self-control skillset which can be transferred to other areas of achievement and struggle in life.
